5 things to include in your mobile messages to get results like these Part 2 [Plus Fitness Case Study]

In Part 1, we saw that with a combined marketing effort, Plus Fitness Granville and Plus Fitness Lidcombe were able to reach 100+ new members for each club. They used a mixture of marketing tactics to generate these results; one of them being mobile.

Here at MOBIPOST HQ we have identified the 5 things you should always include in marketing messaging to get results like Plus Fitness Granville and Plus Fitness Lidcombe.

1. Always include a CTA (Call to Action)

CTA’s are essential. They are the stepping stone from a message being received to getting your target audience to act on it. There is no point having a marketing message sent out with a CTA that is unclear or worse, no CTA at all.

2. Always include a phone number that people can call for more info

More often than not, the recipients that aren’t too sure if they want to take up your offer would like more information. By including a way for them to contact you means people can just ‘click to call’ which will help drive interest towards the promotion.

3. Always include an optout for marketing messages

If you do not do this, you will do a lot more harm than good.

Not only will it annoy your database if you do not give them an option to unsubscribe from messages, you will also be non-compliant with ACMAs SPAM act. This has the potential to land you in serious financial trouble.

4. Always keep it simple

Don’t try and cram too much in your message. Even though your MMS gives you 1000 characters to play with as well as the media component of the message (wmv file,  jpeg, gif or mp3) the best marketing campaigns tend to be around 250-300 characters long.

That gives you enough space to be succinct in relaying your marketing message whilst including all the important aspects like abiding by the SPAM act, the actual deal you are promoting and the CTA.

5. Always keep branding inline

This is important to help distinguish you against your competitors.
