Opt-in Mobile Marketing Success

Opt-in mobile marketing is continuing to be sucessful as a recent report from the MMA has found that “the average conversion rate for opt-in mobile advertising campaigns stands at 25.15%”.
This is considerably higher than the rate for mobile display ads (low single digits), and much higher than the traditional direct marketing at 1.38%.

A number of mobiPOST clients, particularly in the retail and fashion sectors, are seeing some similar great conversion results on mobile campaigns to their loyal (opted-in) subscriber lists. There is no such thing as a ‘good third party list’ and we encourage our clients to maintain their own lists of consented customers.

The research concludes that consumers respond very positively to opt-in mobile advertising which put them first. The response rate to opt-in marketing is much higher than any other channel. Provided that an ad is relevant and targeted, it may not actually be perceived as an ad, but rather as valuable content.
